The brand is thrilled to announce the launch of the MEXICO 66™ CACTFUL™ sneaker, a fresh iteration of its iconic MEXICO 66™ shoe model, featuring a revolutionary upper material derived from cacti.

For the first time, Onitsuka Tiger has collaborated with DESSERTO® engineers to develop a unique material that utilises Mexican cactus fibers as the primary resource. This innovative production process not only aims to minimise environmental impact but also adheres to Onitsuka Tiger's stringent quality and product standards, ensuring global applicability. While keeping the iconic design elements of the MEXICO 66™, the sneaker is available in five custom colours that accentuate the distinctive soft texture inherent in this cactus-derived material, which is often challenging to replicate with genuine leather. Additionally, the lightweight nature of the material has been incorporated into the shoe's design, and recycled materials are incorporated into various components, including the shoelaces.
